20A – Growing Your Social Capital

1. Alex Rodriguez- Civil Engineer
    Domain Expert through his engineering experience
    My father knew this individual and gave me his email
    I asked for their opinion of my idea and they said it was plausible. They asked me to keep them updated in return.
    This contact will ensure my home ideas are functional.

2. Gus Risco- Marketing Manager for Norwegian Cruise line
    Marketing expert through his time with NCL
    My mother knew this individual and gave me their office's phone number
    I asked for their opinion on the marketability of my idea and they said it would have to be through targeted advertising. They asked for nothing in return.
    This contact will allow me to make informed decisions concerning marketing.

3. James Falconi- Owns a construction company with accesss to suppliers
    Supplier as he could get me in touch with several suppliers and assist with projects
     I got in contact with this individual from an ad I saw on TV
     I asked for some info and how he could assist me if I was to pursue my idea. He asked me to keep him in mind if I did.
      This contact will connect me to reasonable suppliers in order to keep my costs down.

This assignment taught me the value of making contacts and how to go about doing so. This was the first time I approached new business contacts without any prior interaction.
